Italian
Ciao, buon giorno e benvenuti.
We have been extremely busy in Italian. The preps have really enjoyed reading the story of Pinocchio and practising some of the quotes from the story. They have been practising their numbers from one to ten.
Grade 1 have been busy learning how to say their name and how they are feeling in Italian. Did you know that Io mi chiamo means my name is. Sto bene means I am well, Sto cosi cosi means I'm ok and sto male means I am not well.
Grade 2 have been learning and revising how to say the different family members in Italian. Mamma - mum, papa - dad, sorella - sister, fratello - brother, zio - uncle, zia - auntie, nonna - grandma and nonno - grandfather.
Grade 3 have been writing words about the different seasons. They have learnt that estate is summer, inverno is winter, autunno is autumn and primavera is spring.
Grades 4, 5 and 6 have been learning all about the country of Italy.
