Cybersafety is the safe and responsible use of Digital Technologies (DT). The education of students in the area of 'cybersafety' is a partnership between students, teachers and parents.
At St Leo's we learn about Cybersafety every year through our Digital Technology lessons, our Social & Emotional classes, as well as particpating in events such as 'Bullying No way!', 'eSmart Week', 'Harmony Day' and 'Safer Internet Day'.
The Australian Government 's - Office of the Children's eSafety Commissioner provide many resources for parents, to assist them with educating their children in cybersafety and acceptable online behaviour. Click here to find out more information.
St Leo's also use Classwize, through Linewize, to monitor students' online behaviour at school. Linewize also provide an online learning hub for our school parents where they can find trusted digital advice for their family. The hub can be found here.
St Leo's is also an accredited eSmart school. We encourage children to be safe, smart and responsible when using communications technology.
